mother-daughter bonding

my mom just came back from umrah, and she has many-many exciting stories and experiences to share with all her children and grandchildren. she's been there 3 times, but she'll always have lots to share with us... and we've never found it a bore..

so, along with her many stories, she also took home quite a lot of things. thanks to her, all of us got a share of something from mekah, madinah and karachi (she had her transit there). and, being a person who loves wearing henna, she bought a whole box of the tube henna. we always have some stocks of it at home, but it's the messy-not-so-friendly-to-wear type of henna. so, with this kind, it's much much easier to wear. and tonite, after mr. hubby, mr. son and ms. daughter had their dinner; after i was done with the dishes, i took the time to put some colour on my nails. i love the red colour of henna on my nails. and, since nail polish is not convenient to wear (especially when we need to pray and all), this definitely the best alternative there is.

usually, it's just me, having the 'me-time'. but tonite, i was accompanied by ms.daughter! haha.. she was soooo curious on wat i was doing, and kept on asking me to put some on her nails! couldnt resist her plea, i put some on her tiny nails - all 10 of them.. on the henna's box, it says "for best results, please put it on for 1 hour". knowing ms.daughter, i know she wouldnt last that long. after 15 mins, all the paste on her nails were gone. some of it ended up on her face, and some were on her clothes! she was walking around with both hands up in front of her face! hahaha! cute! and, now, instead of looking the way they should be, her nails look like they've been dipped in turmeric! even mine could not last for an hour - too much of disturbance.. but, still, it was one of those nice mother-daughter bonding.

pic taken by mr.hubby (using my O2). sorry for the not so great quality...
