i got 'carried' away

"im a major weeper. a good book, a great film, a birthday card, i weep" - that was a line from The Holiday, with my the hot talented Jude Law being the leading man. but, im not here to talk about the movie or the hunk.

wat i meant was (as much as i hate to admit), i cried watching Sex and the City (SATC) movie - last nite. luckily, i didnt go to catch it at the cinema, coz i bought the DVD few days ago. if not, malu aje, keluar cinema with red and bengkak eyes! huhuhu...

i know... some of u whom had seen the movie must be asking: cried for SATC??? heh?? erkk??

ive been a follower of the series eversince their airing on HBO. and, when i heard they were filming the movie, i couldnt wait to watch it.. coz, i know, the movie will definitely show the 'closure' between Mr. Big and Carrie Bradshaw (coz in the last episode when Mr. Big met Carrie in Paris, it was sort of a 'question-mark-ending'.

overall, i LURVE the movie.. tho, if u really give it a thot, the movie looks like an extended version of the TV series. it doesnt have the 'aura' of a real movie.. anyway, this is just my 2 cents worth of opinion... dont let me dampen ur excitement to watch the movie...

so, a little time has passed, and it’s in keeping with the series' melancholy tone, that fairy-tale endings don’t necessarily mean happily ever after.

- Carrie, is still very much involved with the on-off-and-finally-on-again mogul Mr. Big (but my vote goes to Aidan. tho he's not as rich as Mr. Big, but i think he should be Carrie's happy ending)
- the prickly Miranda (who looks a bit aneroxic), is adjusting to marriage and over-scheduled motherhood
- Charlotte, remains a wide-eyed dreamer (hahaha)
- Samantha, is losing her patience with monogamy, despite her Hollywood lover being the younger, classically gorgeous TV star Smith Jarred

not surprisingly, virtually every pricey label imaginable finds its way into SATC's fashion-obsessed accessorising. from the signature lable of Manolo Blahnik, to Dior, to Louis Vuitton, to Prada, to Chanel, to Hermes, to Gucci... and the high-end list continues... BUT, honestly, i think, Patricia Field had 'ter-over' sikit. some of the clothes worn by the 4 ladies, look forceful.. again, that's just my 2 cents worth of opinion, and im not a fashionista. so, dont mind me ;)

when i said i LURVE the movie, i was referring to the storyline (hence, the tears), the clothes and of coz, the SHOES!! check these out:
this Dior pair must be either be Carrie's of Patricia Field's fave.
she wore them in quite a number of scenes throughout the movie

i also saw few Manolos, Louboutins, Zanotti and wat not

she even wore the gold-version of that same Dior with her Vivienne Westwood couture wedding dress (no harm in ridding the bird tho)

and the sexiest, Manolo Blahnik's nude-open toe-Mary Jane. i LIKE!

p/s: and i do NOT think that Desperate Housewives can EVER replace the 'madness' of SATC. go, Carrie Bradshaw!
