it happened to me, once, if i can recall correctly... around 23 years ago..
today, it happened again..

at around 2pm today, my boss' PA and i went to see the boss at her house. she's currently on her 6-week recuperating process.. she had gone thru an op recently.
both of us were sent there by the boss' driver. after around 3 hours discussing and updating about work, we were fetched back to office by the driver. so, we were all cracking jokes in the car, and were laughing all the way.

reached office at around 5.15pm, i was rushing out of the car to get to the briefing with clients in the hall (which was supposed to be conducted by me, but since i was held up by boss, THANK GOD for my staff were capable of taking charge of the briefing..)

i got out of the car from the front seat, and at the same time, my boss' PA was also getting out of the car. we were closing the doors - both almost at the same time - and, suddenly.. the next thing i knew, IBU JARI KIRI SAYA TERSEPIT DI CELAH PINTU KERETA (in between the front door and the backseat door!)

yeap, saya ulang suara, IBU JARI KIRI SAYA TERSEPIT DI CELAH PINTU KERETA!! it was not a big slam (THANK GOD, again, for that.. luxury cars are equipped with vacuum at the doors. so, tak payah nak hentam kuat2).

TAPI, SANGATLAHHHHHHHHHHHHH SAKITNYAAAAAAAAAAA (EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!!!)

that colleague of mine immediately opened the door back, and i quickly released my thumb! sudah kemek!!! dlm kesakitan yang amat tu, i was practically hyperventilating! feeling major guilt (tho it wasnt really her fault), that colleague of mine insist in taking me to the clinic.. so, i went.. and did the xray and everything.. THANK GOD, yes, again.. that no bones were broken or fractured.. but, definitely, my veins were swollen!

after few tablets of painkillers and antibiotics, and also some dipping of thumb in ice water, my thumb isnt looking THAT bad.. and, the pain isnt THAT bad either..

accidents happen, rite??
and to compare this with wat happened 23 years ago, this is nothing much. the 1st incident (same thumb), i lost my nail, ok? big slam, major swollen, all sorts of colours were there - purplish, greenish and bluish!

now, i can officially conclude, that i have an unlucky foot and an unlucky thumb :P
