'dumb' episodes

I’m sure many of you have had your share of ‘dumb’ episodes.
Mind you, I’m not talking about the moment where you are seen as the ‘dumb’,
But I’m talking about your encounter with other people seen as the ‘dumb’.

I don’t intend to be mean here!
I’m sorry if my question had raised your well-plucked eyebrows,
But it has happened a lot to me lately…
I can’t afford to be screaming my head off TOO often,
But, I can’t afford to just keep quiet and act ‘dumb’ like I’m ok with it TOO often either.

So, I wanna share with you, what I’ve been ‘privileged’ to experience,
these past couple of weeks.
Take note, all names won’t be published due to sensitivity issues! :P

‘Dumb’ Episode 1:
I was the ‘spectator’:
Man: So, you know that the stock won’t come in full batch, and yet, you went and told the boss that EVERYTHING, THE WHOLE THING would be here?
Woman: Yes

‘Dumb’ Episode 2:
Over the phone:
Guy: Hello. Am I speaking to Ms. (my name)? My name is Jxx, and I’m calling from XXX Agency. I’d like to meet up with you to let you of the services that we are providing, which can help to further boost you’re A&P campaign.
Shoe-addict-mom: Alrite, I’m available for a meeting on (so-and-so).
Guy: Thank you. See you then!

During the meeting, I gave him my name card and explained that we didn’t really need their services for now:
Guy: Alrite, it was nice to meet up with you, Ms. (my name). Let me know if you need assistance in the future,
Shoe-addict-mom: Sure, no worries. We’ll be in touch!

Couple of hours later, over the phone:
Guy: Hello. Can I speak to Ms. (my name)?
Shoe-addict-mom: This is she.
Guy: Hi there! My name is Jxx, and I’m calling from XXX Agency. I’d like to meet up with you to let you of the services that we are providing, which can help to further boost you’re A&P campaign.
Shoe-addict-mom: I thought I just met you earlier this morning?
Guy: No, this is the 1st time I’m calling in.
Shoe-addict-mom: Jxx, take out your card holder, and look at the name card that you got this morning. It’s stated there: my name, my number and the company as well.
Guy: Oh! I’m so sorry. I didn’t notice it! So sorry about that!

‘Dumb’ Episode 3:
Shoe-addict-mom: The headline for the ad was given by boss. Why are you so ‘rajin’ to go and come up with something else??
Woman: Emm, a’ha…
Shoe-addict-mom: You heard what I said or not? I said (please repeat the above sentence)
Woman: Emm, a’ha.. okay….

I still have quite a few,
But I think 3 episodes will be enough, for now!

p/s: don’t let yourself be ‘dumbfounded’ by all the ‘dumbness’ that’s caused by ‘dumb’ people!
