the 'calling'

I’m quite sure I’ve written sometime back,
on how I love getting myself involved in coordinating or organising events and such.
That IS currently part of my job.
It’s full of headache, but it’s challenging and exciting at the same time.

I’m not really a person who can sit and just do paperwork.

I’ll get bored to death.
I need to be physically and mentally on the move.
(But, the stress I’m facing now can also be lethal!)
Ok, I might exaggerate that a bit.

I guess, the ‘calling’ came about during my college years.
Back in school, I was a ‘passive’ person.
I did not bother to be involved with ANYTHING.

the play where I played the witch sister!

organising committee for the farewell dinner of our senior batch

some event that we had to serve food to the guests!

our farewell!

English Week committee

Come college, the 2nd semester I was there,
I was chosen to be part of the Orientation Committee, which I enjoyed very much.
Hey, I got to ‘intimidate’ the freshmen. What’s not to like!? Haha!!
The following semesters, I was practically in almost all events
– farewell dinners, some ad-hoc events, this and that.
Owh, I also got to act during the English Week!
(read: we were FORCED to present a Shakespeare play as part of the course)

I (do) love my job.
I
(don’t) love the organisation that I’m with now.

Note to self: STOP WHINING!
