the union in Syawal

It’s already October, but the Raya mood still lingers among most of us.
At least, myself, for sure!
We keep on drilling in our mind and announcing that we have had too long of a holiday,
so the ‘engine’ has totally gone cold,
we’re suffering from an overdose of ‘lemang’, ‘rendang’ and ‘ketupat’… and the list goes on and on..

Regardless of what the excuses are,
I’m sure most of you have had the most fantastic time celebrating raya..

I did!!
Probably the best Raya I’ve had since I’ve surrendered my NOT MARRIED title…
And, the best thing was, Mr. Hubby also had a wonderful time, going back to my kampung.
(despite the fact that the house that we stayed in was actually a rented one,
and that 3 families and 10 children were all bunked in together in that same house).



The superhot weather didn’t dim our semangat to house-hop, from morning till nite!
We purposely create additional ‘space’ in the tummy to accommodate all the nasi dagang, nasi minyak, satay, laksa and such, which made me, ended up looking like a 3-month preggy lady!

The whole balik kampung for Raya got better,
with the school reunion I and few other friends managed to organise.
Witnessing around 70 friends, flings, frenemies (maybe) of primary and secondary schools getting together, sharing updates and catching up on lost time was definitely the highlight of everything! ;)





Hey, Raya KL edition wasn’t that bad either!
From Puchong to Setapak to Segambut to Damansara Perdana,
we roamed the roads and also the boiling weather, visiting relatives and friends…

What’s next in my Syawal calendar?
Open house!!
Loads of it!!

Better start looking for bigger size pants!!
