For the past few months, the Company has been having so many events.
I'm sure you would have noticed the level of stress that I had.
(But, I think, I work 'better' under pressure! Not a quality that I'm proud of though)
As a 'token', our Lady Gaga has taken us for a special lunch treat.
Me, my PR Execs and also Lady Gaga's secretary.
It was kinda awkward, having to sit with the big boss and trying to build conversation without ending up talking about work!
My PR Execs hardly said anything.
The secretary tried her best to butt in the conversations that my PR Execs were having.
That, left me alone, struggling to find appropriate topics to talk about.
My guess was, the big boss noticed our quietness (when we are among the loudest during get-togethers in the office). So, she led the talking.
My big boss has deep passion for travelling. She won't sit around for long.
Whenever she has the time, she will fly everywhere.
Back from Alaska, she's off to New Zealand. Back from Switzerland, she's off to Myanmar. Back from Jordan, she's off to Australia.
I envy her for that. But then again, she's got all the moolah! What is there to worry about, rite?
if I'm in her shoes, I would do the same thing. And, I will take my besties to travel with me!!!!! Woot!!
However, I realise something.. Being in her shoes isn't that rosy after all.
During that lunch, she told us about her escapades, journeys, shopping trips, things she talked about with the hubby a.k.a our CEO.
I said to myself: "We are your staff. Isn't there a borderline between boss and staff? Aren't these stories TOO personal to be shared with us - the coolies??"
My big boss might have all the ringgit and sen, but she doesn't have friends to share her stories.
To me, that's kinda sad....
She travels alone (sometimes), she goes shopping alone (if not with the driver who is forced to be the trolley man)...
Having said that, I think I'm grateful with the life I'm having.
I might not have all the money in the world.
I might not have the richest husband or parents in the world.
I might need to save up for (many) moons before I get to travel, or spend lavishly,
at least I have amazing people around me whom I can call friends, whom I love to bits,
whom I can share my laughters, tears, (un)funny jokes and stupidities with...
Pic taken after Lady Gaga left. The 'mangsa' who had to take this pic was the waiter.
Those are our 'kenyang' faces!
