it's the 5th day of Syawal. im sure many people are still driving back from hometown at this very moment (my 2nd bro & his family are included). i can imagine the cars lining up at the toll booths, or even some 'rosak' cars along the hiway.
this is my 3rd year of not being 'part' of the balik kampung scene. being married to mr. hubby, who works in hospitality line, he rarely gets to be on leave during Raya. plus, he's from KL city himself. so, no kampung for him! hehe.. but this year, i had my mom to spend the Raya with me, coz normally, she would be following my eldest bro back to East Coast. so, it wasnt THAT bad and THAT quiet, after all..
Raya preparation has never been a big hoo-haa. we always go on 'moderate' scale. no new curtains or furniture in the house. hehe.. the old ones are still OK. baju Raya and shuz for kiddos were bought before Ramadhan. and, a day before Raya, i dropped by The Curve to get mr. hubby a new shirt. and, while strolling along the mall, i HAPPENED to see a kebaya being displayed at one of the kiosks. hehe.. beli je la! kalau tak nampak tu, sure takde baju raya lerrr..
the baju was only white for about 20mins. the 21st min onwards, stains of choc milk, choc cookies were all over!!
sesi bermaafan, and green packets giveaway. mr. son took a photo of me with mr. hubby, but something went wrong with the Pix Card - it got corrupted! otherwise, u could have seen all the 'drama' of sesi bermaafan. tiap-tiap tahun nangis babe! sampai bengkak mata tu!!
lots of photos were taken at the in-law's house. again, all were corrupted! hampessss!!!
because mr. hubby had to work, i didnt go out for beraya that much. on 2nd day of Raya, my sis came back from her in-law's in Pahang. and on the 4th day, my eldest bro & his family came back, and spent the night at my house. so, it was like from 'something calm', sudah jadi 'something havoc'! hehehehehee... BUT, it was a good-fun-havoc!
today, uya was kind enuff to invite me and the kiddos to her crib for a short gathering with mazrah and eka (the 2 great gals whom i've known since Uni days). i havent seen them for almost 3 years! yeap, our last 'laughing-session' was during jue's wedding @ langat, and ms. daughter was still in my belly! hahahaha.. lama gila!! mazrah & eka, let's not wait for another 3 years to meet up, ok?? ;)

there's still 25 days of Syawal. so, it's definitely OK for us to wish everyone Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Maaf Zahir & Batin. Let's all forgive & forget, and kickstart this Aidilfitri with a clean slate, ok?
