catching up

First things first, Selamat Berpuasa to you!
It's that time of the year again.
Let's hope this year will be better than the last one.
May this month be a month filled with happiness and prosperity.

What's new with me?
Nothing much.
Same ol', same ol'.



Same workload,
Same stress,
Same phony faces at work!

Owh, I was forced to attend attended an award dinner the other nite,
held at the grand Shangri-La, Kuala Lumpur.
IMHO, it was a 'rather' prestige award that recognised some of the successful entrepreneurs in Malaysia.

An award dinner would not be complete with the souvenir programme,
a booklet containing details of the event, some sponsored ads and also profiles of the award winners.
I was flipping through the pages when I saw THE coolest guy,
whom I've been seriously blog-stalking for the past few years,
and seriously twit-stalking for the past few months.
(Vital fact: I don't twit)

None other than the big boss of 8TV, Ahmad Izham Omar.

Not that I know him personally (well, I know him, but he doesn't know me),

I still stand by the believe that he is the coolest boss around.

It is written in his profile:

'Izham attributes his success on giving a lot of empowerment and freedom to the people who work for him.

He thoroughly believes in the power of creativity, especially when let loose amongst his young employees.

"When somebody has a great idea, the best thing a boss could do is to get out of the way," he would always say.'

Most of the people from Media Prima, whom I've made friends with would agree to that, 100%.

Congratulations to the Animal Lover, for being one of the Most Promising Entrepreneurs!

Another thing I would like to share, as far as the awards nite is concerned.

The 80-year-old-typical-Chinaman who was bestowed with the Lifetime Achievement Award,

DID NOT need to read his acceptance speech,

as compared to the much-younger-Chinaman-look-alike, who took home the Entrepreneur of the Year Award,

who had to read his speech from a piece of an A4 paper taken out from his tux's pocket!

Talk about "don't judge a book by its cover" huh?
